Age Group Multisport World Championships
Pontevedra, Spain 2019

Patricia, Aimee, Mark & MJ all qualified for ITU Age Group Multisport World Championships in Aquathlon (swim-run event) by placing 1st in their respective age categories at the Stroke & Stride Race #7 held Sep 5th @ Gullivers Lake, Milgrove, ON.

Athletes will receive in approximately 30days after the date of competing a letter via email from Triathlon Canada confirming their qualification and listing the steps to take to represent Canada in Spain.

Athletes interested in qualifying for Worlds should contact Triathlon Ontario or Triathlon Canada for the list of events chosen for the year as qualifying events. The list is published annually and also provides the # of qualifying spots available at each event for each age group category.

There are two World Championship competitions held annually:

Triathlon Worlds

Lausanne, Switzerland in 2019

Events: Sprint distance triathlon &
Olympic distance triathlon

Multisport Worlds

Pontevedra, Spain in 2019

Events: cross triathlon,  long course triathlon,
aquathlon (swim-run), duathlon (run-bike-run),
and swim-bike
