One on One Coaching

The starting point for most amateur athletes, including masters athletes is by joining some sort of training club or team. Athletes benefit and improve based on foundational and fundamental aspects of the sport with those groups but there is a limit to what group training can accomplish. At some point, athletes seeking to progress beyond Novice level of competition need individualized training in order to address their individual needs, and more specifically, training to address their individual weaknesses.

With TOEST and TOETT athletes having achieved numerous podiums in the past year alone, its time for the coaching at TOEST and TOETT to grow ensuring that our athletes have the resources they need to achieve their performance goals. Individualized coaching is now available from Coach Aimee and Coach Mark so athletes can progress from a Novice to a Sport level of competition.

Individualized coaching has three components:

Goal Setting Meeting

An in person meeting where the athletes training and racing history is reviewed, followed by a discussion to establish short, intermediate and long term goals. The session results in a weekly training template recommending appropriate TOEST & TOETT programs along with training sessions that are to be performed independently.

Training Log Review

Even with goals established, consistent training in the context of life (e.g. career, business, family) can be a challenge. Having an objective review of your training log will help athletes retain or regain the direction required to achieve their goals. Receiving recommendations on how, when, and by how much to adjust training is needed both for achieving goals and maintaining physical, mental, and emotional health.

Follow Up Meetings

Adjustments to physical training plans can be made easily via email exchanges or online platforms; but making the critical adjustments to mindset, attitude, and narratives – the true limiters of performance – requires routine review between athlete and coach. Quarterly meetings are recommended for Novice & Sport athletes, monthly for Performance.

Coaching for Sport & Performance Athletes

The program below is available when working with either Coach Aimee or Coach MJ and is available to existing TOEST and TOETT athletes. Please note that due to the importance of an athlete adhering to a single training philosophy, we do not work with athletes who want to retain multiple coaches.  We agree with the cliche: “more chefs in the kitchen do not make for a better omelette”; we believe that a singular training philosophy is as important as the singular focus of seeking one’s potential.

Six (6) Months of Training

$900

Includes a goal setting meeting, a training log review in preparation for the goal setting consult, weekly log review with recommendations accompanying each review, and a concluding in person meeting 6 months after goal setting.

Ongoing Coaching

$100/mth

For athletes who have completed six (6) months of training and want to continue. Ongoing training includes weekly log review with recommendations accompanying each review, and in person follow up meeting semi annually.

Additional Notes for Sport & Performance Athletes

We recommend that athletes have logged in a journal (e.g. Excel or Google doc spreadsheet, or online using TrainingPeaks.com) for a minimum of one full month in order that your coach is able to gain an appreciation for how many hours a week you train, the consistency of your training, and an awareness for the challenges that need to be resolved (e.g. business travel interrupts consistent training) in order that the training recommended is in fact doable.

TOETT does not provide refunds due to the amount of work (in the background) that it takes to review training logs and to perform the necessary preparatory work ahead of consults. The commitment our coaches make to athletes will not be compromised by those who want to ‘test out’ services, or who want to change their minds at will; our desire is to coach and only coach athletes who are as committed to their goals as we will be to them.

If jumping into an exercise routine was that simple, then everyone would be achieving their health and wellness goals.  They aren’t because it isn’t that simple.  There is a process that yields consistent results, a process which isn’t intuitive hence why we believe there is tremendous value in retaining an Healthy Lifestyle Coach: so that the effort you put into yourself achieves the goals you want.

Healthy Exercise Coach – Setup

Healthy Exercise Coach – Ongoing

$50/mth

For individuals who have completed three (3) months with Aimee and want to continue. Ongoing training includes weekly log review with recommendations accompanying each review, and in person follow up meeting semi annually.
